I’m Valerie, Canada and Mexico are where I call home. Over the past 25 years, I’ve had the pleasure of coming to Puerto Morelos, witnessing its transformation from a quaint fishing village to the vibrant community it is today. Casa Maya, a beloved landmark in the area, was originally built by the first owners of a local bookstore, and I am the proud to be its second owner. You might recognize Casa Maya from the feature on an episode of House hunters international!

At Casa Maya, we have created an environment, designed to promote healing, relaxation, and a deep sense of well-being for all our guests. It brings me great joy to welcome you here, and I hope your stay is both restorative and memorable.

Our stay was delightful. Home is really open and spacious, everything was clean and had nice high ceilings. Owners were very responsive and did their best to help. Any small issues we had were resolved promptly. The beach was also pretty close and we had fun biking to it as well. Overall, I would recommend this property if you’re looking for a peaceful, relaxing stay.

Great relaxing stay at this beautiful property. House was very spacious and the outdoor space and pool topped off our stay. The location is very good 5 mins from Trader Joe's, WholeFoods & Mercato (Shops & Restuarants) and less then 10-15mins from several beaches.

The vacation home is perfect, really spacious, amazing outdoor area, comfortable rooms. Great to enjoy with friends and family. The location is great, peaceful and quiet neighborhood, but also pretty close to all you need, supermarkets, gas station, etc.

The homes interior and exterior was beautiful and we found the property to be very clean upon check in. The highlight for our family was the outdoor space with the beautiful pool and covered patio with grill, table and TV. The remote-controlled screens were great for keeping out bugs in the evening and made as an added level of protection to keep our toddler away from the pool. We did offer feedback to the host that some of the items pictured/listed were not at the property including the air hockey table, boogie boards, pack and play and high chair. After we notified the host upon arrival they did send a brand new high chair, and promised to bring the air hockey table but it never arrived. Thankfully we had rented a full-sized crib separately, but I would expect all items listed to be present upon check in, especially when arriving late with young children.
